Trump Asked Golf Handicap at Town Hall Meeting; Rickie and Rory to be joined by Justin Timberlake and Mark Wahlberg

Donald Trump was asked about his golf handicap at a Bluffton, South Carolina, town hall meeting this morning.  He didn’t specifically answer; instead he just said he’d won many club championships.  He asked if anyone had a 5-handicap or less, and had someone in the audience who did stand up.

We golf fans must rally around Donald Trump this year and make him our First Golf President!  Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is good for golf!

That exhibition will be unwatchable to me. But a good promotion for professional golf.

I’m probably not going to watch it, either. I thought it was weird to have an exhibition match like this on Tuesday of US Open week, especially in a year where both the Olympics and the Ryder Cup were being held. Then I realized they were trying to get the US Open to come back to Michigan, and it made sense. I don’t know why it wouldn’t be the current world number 1 against one of those 2, unless Jordan refused or couldn’t because he’s the defending US Open champion.

The timing does seem awful. Such a distraction, it would seem.

I wondered why Rickie and Rory, too. Maybe Jordan declined, I don’t know. If Rickie were Nike, or Rory Cobra, I’d get it, but is there some commonality with Rickie and Rory I am missing?

I’ll definitely watch, although I care nothing about the outcome, of course. It beats Brandel Chamblee on Live From US Open saying “Tiger Woods” every ten seconds.
