Short and Sweet Solution

There was an easy solution to the Vulgarity Spammer.

Here a quick summary:  Once a person has a single comment approved, their future comments will post automatically.  But here’s the key: It is based on the e-mail address the commenter enters; that’s how the system determines a commenter has already posted.  Okay, Lanny H Golf has never required e-mail addresses here, and we’re not going to start now.  But…

Here’s the Main Point:  The e-mail address entered does not have to even exist.  You can just make one up and enter it!  Keep using that same e-mail address, and your comments will automatically post (after the approval of the very first one).  The e-mail address (fake as it may be) is like a codeword that allows your comments to bypass the approval step.

In other words, if you aren’t already entering an e-mail address, enter one (a fake one is fine), and things will be back to normal.

Thanks for figuring that out. That’s not too big of a pain. My email address is fake, just like the name I use. 😉

Lanny, I thought for sure you’d be here making a big deal of Ror’s getting started in the states at Riviera in 2016.

Honestly, I did not know. I read about Rose playing the West Coast more this year, but if I heard about Rory at Riviera, I didn’t remember. Good to see. I know Jordan has played there in the past because he missed a playoff by one shot and golf coverage barely showed him.

Riviera is a shotmakers course, so if Rory can win there, he’ll join the ranks of the allt-time greats. Nicklaus, Hogan, Watson, Trevino, Rory. I like the sound of that!

I was reminded that Bubba Watson is among the winners at Riviera. That’s pretty cool when you think about him being known for being a bomber, winning twice at Augusta. And he won one of the two greatest shotmakers golf courses. In the final analysis, history may consider Bubba the most complete player of his era.

Well, to give you a little leeway, it appears to have just been announced today. Your buddy Kyle had it over at The Dark Side.
