Wei under my raDAR, that is. (Sometimes my brilliant wit amuses even me!)
Okay, I still don’t have much to say, other than if they told her to stop and she kept doing it, it’s a no-brainer to ban her. However, I just found an interesting article on the matter by Alan Shipnuck. Interesting because it demonstrates just how horrid is our golf media.
Turns out the most interesting action at the Match Play Championship took place off the course.
Shipnuck wrote this on May 2, the day after 2-0 Rory finished birdie-birdie-birdie to get by 2-0 Billy Horschel. Rory sank a 40-foot putt or somesuch on No. 17 to stay alive.
Now, here’s a Sports Illustrated golf writer saying a nothing story about a minor member of the golf media is more interesting than Rory’s comeback versus Horschel. Again, that’s an SI golf writer saying that. A guy filling the shoes Dan Jenkins once wore.
If I were the editor at SI, I’d say this, “Mister Shipnuck, Meet Faces in the Crowd.” (Well, if they still have that feature.)
