New Orleans Semi Live Blog — Jason Day Looking to Make History (or, Take The J Train)

Update 5:40 pm:  And the J’s roll on!  Justin Rose becomes the fifth consecutive J-Man to win a PGA Tour event.  Jimmy, J.B., Jordan, Jim, and now Justin.  Nicely done, Rosie!

Update 2:35 pm:  Glad to see Jason Day get a birdie.  It’s was starting to look like he was going to fade into the woodwork.

Update 2:00 pm:  Maybe it’s still post-Masters hangover, or maybe it’s the two consecutive rain-affected tournaments, or maybe it’s the Match Play and Players coming up next, but I’m feeling very subdued about golf these days.  I still have hope today is going to wind up a lot of fun, but I fear some guy I’m unenthused about will run away from the field.

Jason Day is seeking to become the fifth consecutive player to win a PGA Tour event whose first name begins with a “J.”  I’m reaching out to Justin Ray for further details and perspective.  I’ll keep you posted.
